Dear Mr. Clemens,
As your local correspondent in Fenwick has no doubt informed you, our dear little village has been at the center of a miraculous discovery.
Mr. Barnaby Ash, a talented historian, has not only found true love here in our seaside home, but has paved the way for others to do likewise. Thanks to his diligence and the assistance of our own favorite spinster, Miss Joy Tully, a local legend was unearthed and solved.
We shall ignore the prattle about Mr. Ash growing wings and speaking in ancient tongues. That is mere gossip. But the truth is no less strange. According to a manuscript found in a local resident’s library, fae once dwelt in these parts. And one of them fell in love with a human traveler. To celebrate their love, they blessed the waters at a local spring.
As the owner of The Queen’s Barque Inn, I can proudly say that our well stands upon that very site. One has simply to drink from the well to find true happiness with one’s beloved.
Of course, a visit to the well would be impossible without staying on the property where it is found. Grand renovations are taking place to host all the hopeful lovers that make the journey to our isolated village. I assure you, you will not only find your happy ending but will make memories that last a lifetime.
Eager to welcome you,
Henry Brewster, Esq.
